Duplicity

CIA officer Claire Stenwick (Julia Roberts) and MI6 agent Ray Koval (Clive Owen) have left the world of government intelligence behind for far more lucrative work in the private sector. Now employed by two rival corporations locked in a ruthless battle for profit, they find themselves at the heart of a high-stakes corporate espionage war. Their mission is simple: get their hands on the formula for a groundbreaking new product that will make a fortune for whichever company patents it first. Their bosses, industrial titan Howard Tully (Tom Wilkinson) and CEO Dick Garsik (Paul Giamatti), are cutthroat businessmen who will stop at nothing to win. But the biggest challenge facing Claire and Ray is figuring out just how far they can trust each other in a world built on lies and double-crosses. As they work to overcome every obstacle in their path, they realize that the only thing that could jeopardize their grand scheme is the romance neither of them can resist. Written and directed by Tony Gilroy, the film cleverly blends romance and suspense into a stylish, twist-filled thriller.
