The Tailor of Panama

Adapted from John le Carré’s novel of the same name, this darkly humorous spy film blends political intrigue, deception, and espionage. Pierce Brosnan stars as Andy Osnard, a highly skilled British intelligence agent who is sent into exile in Panama. Determined to find a way back home, Andy refuses to let his exile keep him from pursuing his own agenda. His plans lead him to Harry Pendel, a charming and talkative tailor who serves some of Panama’s wealthiest and most influential figures. Although Harry has reinvented himself as a respected tailor, he once made a living as a con artist and is desperate to keep his past hidden. When Andy asks him for information about the country’s political circles and latest rumors, Harry begins inventing stories to protect his secret. But his elaborate lies soon grow far beyond his control, setting off a chain of events that could have serious consequences for both Harry and the future of Panama.
