The Sorcerer's Apprentice

Balthazar Blake is a master sorcerer in modern-day Manhattan, working to protect the city from the evil sorcerer Maxim Horvath. Knowing he can’t do it alone, he recruits Dave Stutler, who at first glance seems like an ordinary guy. But Dave has a hidden potential even he doesn’t know about. Balthazar begins teaching his reluctant apprentice the ins and outs of sorcery. The mismatched pair must stop Horvath and the forces of darkness before they take over the city. Meanwhile, Dave faces another challenge, just as tough as any spell: winning the heart of Becky, the girl of his dreams. Directed by Jon Turteltaub and starring Nicolas Cage and Jay Baruchel, The Sorcerer’s Apprentice is a fun adventure that blends action, fantasy and humor. A great pick for anyone who loves magical stories and adventures the whole family can enjoy.
