In The Matrix Revolutions, time is running out for Zion, the last refuge of humankind, as the machines drill relentlessly through the earth to reach the city. Meanwhile, an even more unpredictable danger has emerged: Agent Smith has broken free from all control, declaring his independence and turning against humans and machines alike. Neo now faces more than one enemy - while the machine army prepares to annihilate mankind, Smith has grown into an existential threat to both sides of the war. But there is a serious problem standing in the way: Neo finds himself trapped in a limbo-like realm caught between the Matrix and the real world.
