The Da Vinci Code

Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon's night in Paris takes an unexpected turn when he's summoned to the Louvre, where the museum's respected curator has been found murdered. But this is no ordinary crime scene - with his dying breath, the victim left behind a trail of coded messages hidden within the works of Leonardo da Vinci. Joining Langdon in unraveling the mystery is Sophie Neveu, a gifted cryptologist and the murdered man's granddaughter. Following the clues, the two embark on a breathless journey that leads them from the historic streets of Paris all the way to London. With the police on their heels and dangerous forces lurking in the shadows, telling friend from foe becomes harder with every passing hour. Yet survival isn't even the biggest stake - the code they're racing to crack points to a secret guarded for centuries, one that could shake the very foundations of human history if revealed. Based on Dan Brown's worldwide phenomenon of a novel, the film blends mystery and suspense with history in a gripping thriller.
