Suicide Squad

DC Comics' villain-driven comic book series comes to the screen as Suicide Squad, directed by David Ayer. Justin Marks adapts the characters originally created by Robert Kanigher and Ross Andru, in a production mounted jointly by DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. The ensemble brings together Margot Robbie, Will Smith, Joel Kinnaman, Viola Davis and Jared Leto, among other well-known names. Faced with a shadowy criminal organization, the government turns to an unorthodox solution: pull the most dangerous superpowered criminals out of their cells, hand them the heaviest weaponry available and send them into a mission no one else would take. The catch becomes clear only once they are in the field - given their records, they were never meant to come back victorious. What does a squad do when it realizes the job was designed for it to lose?
