Small Prophets

Small Prophets follows the unusual life of Michael Sleep, a man who has spent the past seven years hoping for the return of Clea, the woman he loves who mysteriously disappeared. Working at a hardware store and regularly visiting his father, Brian, Michael leads a quiet existence shaped by the pain of his unresolved loss. Everything begins to change when Brian introduces him to an ancient alchemical recipe involving rainwater, horse manure, and a surprising amount of alchemy. Determined to find answers to the questions that have haunted him for years, Michael sets out to create homunculi, tiny magical beings believed to possess the ability to see into the future. With the help of his young coworker Kacey, he embarks on an extraordinary experiment that brings the two closer, partly through their shared dislike of their manager, Gordon. However, Michael's mysterious activities in his shed soon attract the attention of curious neighbors, whose growing fascination threatens to complicate his unusual quest. Small Prophets blends mystery, alchemy, unexpected friendship, and the enduring hope of finding someone who has been lost.
