Gladiator 2

Following Maximus's death in the arena, Lucilla sends her young son Lucius far beyond the borders of the Roman Empire, away from its dangers. Free from the capital's schemes, corrupt politics, and endless power struggles, Lucius builds a peaceful life on the shores of North Africa, where he grows into an ordinary young man. But the past refuses to let him go. Roman legions under the command of General Marcus Acacius launch a brutal campaign against Numidia, the land Lucius now calls home. Shattered by the devastating losses he suffers during the invasion, Lucius is captured, taken to Rome, and sold to Macrinus, a shrewd dealer in gladiators. His fate now depends on surviving the arena for the amusement of the roaring crowds and the co-emperors Geta and Caracalla, who share the throne. Channeling his fury into strength, Lucius sets his sights on a single goal: to shake the foundations of the rotten empire and settle the score with the man he holds responsible for everything he has lost.
