A.I. Artificial Intelligence

At first glance, 11-year-old David seems like any quiet, gentle boy. But he carries an extraordinary secret: David is a robot with artificial intelligence, programmed with the ability to love. Because he behaves just like a human and experiences his emotions as if they were real, it is hard to tell that he is actually a machine. Created to fill the void for couples longing for a child, David is placed with a family as their son. Over time, however, he realizes that he isn't human at all but a product that can be replaced. Dreaming of becoming a real boy so he can win his mother's love, David sets out on a journey full of danger. Completing a project that Stanley Kubrick was never able to finish, Steven Spielberg directs this moving sci-fi drama starring Haley Joel Osment as David and Jude Law as the robot companion Gigolo Joe.
