Verity

When bestselling novelist Verity Crawford is left severely injured in a car crash, her career comes to an abrupt halt. Desperate to finish the unfinished series, her husband Jeremy makes a generous offer to Lowen Ashleigh, a struggling writer badly in need of money: complete the remaining books under Verity's name. Lowen accepts and moves into the Crawfords' imposing estate, where she begins sifting through boxes of notes and half-finished manuscripts. What she finds there is nothing like research material - the pages hold chilling confessions that no reader was ever meant to see. The deeper Lowen reads, the harder it becomes to tell who Verity really is: a helpless woman trapped in her own body, or something far more calculating. Is the manuscript the twisted game of a dangerous mind, or simply a work of fiction?
