Thor: Ragnarok

The most colorful and wildly entertaining chapter of the saga, Thor: Ragnarok reinvents the god of thunder in a completely fresh tone. With Odin's passing, a dark family secret comes to light: Hela, the goddess of death and a sister Thor never knew existed, returns from exile to seize the throne of Asgard. Their first clash costs Thor not only his legendary hammer Mjölnir but also his freedom, as he is hurled across the universe to Sakaar, a chaotic junkyard planet ruled by the eccentric Grandmaster. Here, survival means one thing: fighting in a deadly gladiatorial arena. And his opponent turns out to be the last face he expected - his long-lost former teammate, the Hulk. As Ragnarok, the prophesied doom of Asgard, draws ever closer, Thor races against time with his band of misfits - Hulk, Loki, and the hard-drinking warrior Valkyrie - to free his people from Hela's tyranny. Shaped by director Taika Waititi's gleefully comedic vision, the film stars Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston alongside Cate Blanchett, Mark Ruffalo, Tessa Thompson, Jeff Goldblum, and Anthony Hopkins.
