The Departed

In South Boston, the battle between law enforcement and organized crime reaches a dangerous new level as the Massachusetts State Police launches an undercover operation to bring down the city’s most powerful criminal organization. Their target is Frank Costello, a ruthless crime boss who has maintained control over the streets for years. To infiltrate his inner circle, the police recruit Billy Costigan, a young officer who grew up in South Boston and understands the neighborhood better than most. While Billy works to gain Costello’s trust from inside the gang, another young officer named Colin Sullivan is rapidly rising through the ranks of the state police. What his superiors do not know is that Sullivan is secretly working for Costello, feeding the crime boss confidential information and helping him stay one step ahead of the police. As both men gather intelligence while maintaining their carefully constructed identities, their double lives become increasingly dangerous. When the police and Costello’s gang realize that they each have a mole in their organization, the pressure intensifies. Billy and Colin must race to uncover the other infiltrator before their own identities are exposed, turning the conflict into a deadly game of deception and survival.
