Return of the Jedi

Star Wars: Episode 6

Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi opens with Luke Skywalker and his friends heading to the planet Tatooine to rescue Han Solo. Meanwhile, the Empire continues construction of a second Death Star, and the Rebellion prepares a massive strike to destroy it. Luke has two goals: to help save the galaxy and to pull his father, Darth Vader, back toward the light side of the Force. Brought to the screen by director Richard Marquand from the imagination of George Lucas, Return of the Jedi brings the original trilogy to a powerful close. The film settles the fate of every character, most of all Darth Vader, and wraps up the saga that started it all.
