Stand by Me

Stand by Me is a coming-of-age story adapted from Stephen King's novella The Body, which was inspired in part by the author's own childhood experiences. Set in Oregon during the 1950s, the film follows four close friends who set out on a journey through the woods after learning that the body of a missing boy may have been discovered nearby. What begins as an exciting adventure soon becomes a deeply personal journey as the boys spend more time together and discover things about one another that they have never openly discussed. Their fears, dreams and personal struggles bring them closer, while the experience forces them to confront the realities of growing up. But the journey is far from safe, as a group of troublemakers from their town is also searching for the missing boy. Along the way, the four friends find themselves facing an adventure that will leave a lasting mark on their childhood.
