Independence Day 2: Resurgence

Twenty years after the devastating alien invasion, Earth faces a new and far more dangerous threat. Humanity has spent two decades studying the technology left behind by the first attack and building a global defense system designed to prevent another invasion. But when the aliens return, their preparations prove insufficient against an enemy that has become even more powerful. As cities once again face destruction and the survival of humanity hangs in the balance, familiar survivors from the original conflict join forces with a new generation of heroes. Together, they must confront the returning invaders and fight to protect Earth from another catastrophic attack.
